What kills most artists isn't drugs, it's trying to provide something for a group of lunatics called people. It is the social pressure to be someone glossy instead of someone human that kills artists. Great ones feel the pressure to be scratch and sniffs like roses.

You're someone with a name. You're someone who has his reality provided for him. The television is never really challenged. That's the way the world is, bullshit. Someone more clueless than you tells you what to do. The best thing for you is to become a caveman, really. Eat, drink, sleep, fuck, and make art. Be a caveman. People laugh because deep inside they know you're ahead of them.
